Competitive salary and benefits Strong career path with exponential growth We work with employees to ensure their success Great company culture Job Details We are looking for a qualified, highly motivated, team player who will be assigned to the General Contracting division and will be responsible for the coordination and preparation of project estimates/bids to support our sales team. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Review of project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate/bid. Performs quantity take-offs, and use excel spreadsheet format for creating estimates/bids as BuilderTrend software Bid solicitation process that includes document management, distribution of bid requests and essential information, contact with subcontractors and A/E team Attend project pre-bid meetings and site visits when required Reviews bids received to confirm scope and quantities are accurate Participates in bid scope reviews with Site Supervisors Ability to develop complete scopes of work to assist subtrades in the bidding process Presenting and reconciling estimates with design team and clients Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently Generate sound documentation for scope of work assumed in estimates Maintaining a well-organized approach & disciplined work ethic Provide open observations of all designs presented by the clients in order to provide the best product possible Maintain a workplace free of harassment, intimidation and other unlawful or activities that are not in compliance with company policies Any other duties as necessary or assigned Desired Skills & Experience Including, But Not Limited To: Must be personable and able to talk with clients about project expectations to accurately estimate project Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of three years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience Thorough understanding of construction documents and specifications at all levels of design in the construction process An understanding of building systems and components and how they relate to the functionality is a must A working knowledge of on-screen take off systems is a required Be able to work independently as well as in a group setting as may be required by our various project types Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft based computer applications.
