Senior Accountant - Financial AnalystHYBRID OPPORTUNITY in the Clearwater/Tampa area!Intergro, Inc., a Bunzl Distribution company, provides agriculture mulch films, fertilizers, stakes, and related agricultural solutions to customers throughout North America and we are excited to add a Senior Accountant to our growing team.The Senior Accountant has a key role that supports our Operations, Finance and Leadership teams by managing various accounting and financial analysis responsibilities. This person will play an important role with all accounting transactions and processes at Intergro to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to all accounting policies and controls. Additional responsibilities include the forecasting and analysis of key expense areas, forecasting and analysis of sales across multiple product lines, and decision support for growth initiatives.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Key player on the accounting team in the month-end close process including, but not limited to, billing, cash receipts, invoices, purchase orders, accounts payable, and related activities.Active participation in the month-end accounting processes to understand variances between actual and expected outcomes; perform forecast variance analysis and communicate drivers of variance to leadership.Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals and adjusting entries in accordance with GAAP and Company policy.Analyze cost trends to identify variances and determine estimates for accruals.Identify and implement business process improvement opportunities.Ad hoc and special projects as needed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field of study. CPA is a plus.Five (5) or more years of progressive professional experience in accounting and financial analysis.Independent and self-motivated, with a proven ability to work with minimal supervision.Strong analytical skills with ability to gather and organize data to drive important decision-making discussions, including reporting, and presenting findings after analyzing information.Advanced Excel (LOOKUPs, Pivot Table, Charts) required.So, what are you waiting for?
