Job Description:
Peninsular Mechanical Contractors, Inc. (PMCI) was founded in
1979 and spans two generations of family ownership. PMCI installs
Chilled Water, VRF, and DX systems for clients ranging from local
contractors to those in the ENR top 10. PMCI has successfully
completed more than 4,900 projects in nearly every market sector.
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the size
and complexity of PMCI's projects. We have made substantial

clients with innovative and efficient solutions and deliver builds

major facility expansion to allow for continued growth and further

looking for an opportunity to grow. Primary Responsibilities Create
and maintain a safe working environment. Supervise PMCI field crews
and PMCI subcontractors. Confirm all field crew members and
subcontractors understand their work assignments and site specific
safety protocols. Monitor the progress of field crew members and
subcontractors and adjust, as needed, to ensure that production
stays on track with the construction schedule. Communicate project
status to Project Manager and/or Field Supervisor. Understand and
communicate to Project Manager and/or Field Supervisor the
materials/labor that will be needed at least 3 days out to prevent
avoidable delays in production. Read and understand plans,
specifications, submittals, and building codes. Ensure field crew
is working with the most current plans, specifications, and
submittals. Accountable for work in place; ensure work meets
industry standards. Complete required daily reports for jobsite
safety and work in place. Review timecards of field crew weekly and
confirm accuracy of task and time. Represent PMCI at jobsite
coordination meetings. Maintain positive relationships with
clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors. Qualifications
Minimum three years of experience in a field management position
supervising installation crews and subcontractors on HVAC projects
in excess of $1MM. Must be able to work under pressure when
challenges arise, and maintain composure with field crew,
subcontractors, client, and other trades to resolve issues
constructively and keep the project on track. Must use good
judgment and confidently make decisions based on safety,
experience, best practices, and code compliance. Must be
comfortable using tablets, laptops, Microsoft Office products and
have a willingness to learn new platforms. Must be able to clearly
and professionally communicate project status both orally and in
writing. Must have an understanding of building codes and SMACNA
standards. Must have OSHA 30 certification. Must be able to pass a
Level 2 background check and obtain a Jessica Lunsford Act (JLA)
badge. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable
transportation. PMCI is an E-Verify employer. PMCI is a drug-free
workplace. Safety Requirements Understand, monitor, and enforce
site/task specific safety protocols for a safe jobsite. Conduct
"toolbox talks". Ensure personal protective equipment is worn.
Maintain clean work area. Physical Requirements Must be able to
stand and move around on jobsite terrain for a significant portion
of the work day. Must be able to ascend and descend ladders,
scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to
loud equipment. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50
pounds regularly. Must be able to see, hear, and respond to
dangerous situations if presented. Must be able to wear personal
protective equipment correctly. Employment Type: Full Time
