Job Description:

Our client, a premiere GC in Florida specializes in commercial construction, is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for negotiated work on projects anywhere from $10M up to $50M. This position will involve meeting with clients so relationship-building skills is required.
Your new role:

• Lead the preconstruction process managing multiple projects at one time
• Assist with the selection of design consultant and design-build subcontractors as necessary
• Prepare conceptual estimates, budgets, and detailed scopes of work
• Evaluate building systems (foundations, structural, building envelope) and finishes for cost effectiveness and constructability
• Provide technical advice to team members and clients on project constructability, logistics, phasing and alternatives.
• Provide value engineering analyses during all phases of design.
• Present estimates and budgets to our internal team and clients
• Develop and manage pre-construction schedules
• Conduct scope review meetings with contractors leading to successful contract agreements
• Assist and participate in competitive bid opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, consultant, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with the project management team to successfully transition projects to construction
  What you'll need to succeed:To be successful in this position you will have 10+ years of Preconstruction or estimating experience. Bachelor's degree in construction or related field is preferred. Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs and engineering principles. Estimating experience with large high rise, hotels and hospitality projects. Must be confident working with estimating teams of varying sizes, and be capable of estimating negotiated and conceptual projects. Individual must be self-motivated, possess strong communication/interpersonal skills and be confident in his/her ability to develop and manage their assigned portion of the estimate. Advanced computers skills with MS Office, Primavera P6. Well-organized, flexible, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task. Effective presentation skills. Excellent written and oral communicator.
