Position at Orthopaedic Associates of West Florida, Clearwater and TrinityThe MRI Technologist performs high quality MRI scans while delivering excellent patient care.Key Responsibilities:Perform MRI scans on patients utilizing existing radiologist devised protocolsProvide excellent patient care & customer service to allpatients being scannedAdminister IV contrast to MRI patients when requested by requisition/scriptAbility to work both independently and as a team-player.Must be flexible with schedulePerform Weekly ACR mandated quality control on MRI scannerAssist with image acquisition for ACR submissionsInteract with radiologists when necessary regarding protocols & special applicationsEnsure MRI scan room is safely secured from general public & non-screened employees.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Maintain ARRT License/ ARMRIT certification by adhering to CEU responsibilities.Complete Daily Totals Sheet.Initial & verify charge tickets are matched to authorization & script.All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or managerReport Statistics to MRI supervisor.Submit peer review on a monthly basis.Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic InstituteAll other duties as assigned.QualificationsARRT certification or ARMRIT certificationSiemens and/or Toshiba Orthopedic experience required.Both high & low field experience a plus!
