Managed Care Contract Admin

Job Description:

Lincare is the nation's leading provider of oxygen, durable medical equipment and clinical respiratory services. We are currently seeking a *Managed Care Contract Admin* to join our corporate headquarters in Clearwater, Florida.

This is a critical role within the Managed Care team that will focus on the following tasks:

* Contract analysis
* Fee schedule proposals
* Requests for proposals
* Letters of interest
* Other requests from health plans

*Responsibilities: *

* Tracking and implementation of new health plan contracts
* Regularly interacts with managed care payors and senior management
* Negotiates managed care payor contracts with insurance companies, nursing homes, hospice organizations following the process established by management
* Prepares letters of interest, requests for proposals and other supporting documentation necessary for the application to health plans in a professional and timely manner
* Preparation and tracking of all initial agreements, amendments, addendums, exhibits and fee schedule changes to completion
* Communication of contract implementation, applicable claims and billing guidelines, payor newsletters, market expansion, new products or plans to center field management and billing
* Completes credentialing applications, Waste, Fraud and Abuse attestations, and Business Associate Agreements
* Specific projects as assigned by National Director of Managed Care
* Regularly interacts with managed care payors and senior management

*Requirements: *

* Associates degree or 2-3 years of higher education OR 3-4 years of relevant work experience
* Working knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment or managed care payors a plus
* Proficient in data entry and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
* Able to easily adapt to change and multi-task
