(1st Shift - $17.00 to $18.00 per hour DOE) Signing Bonus, $1,000 after 90 days RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR SUMMARY Understand all aspects of blending rubber, like the weighing and mixing of ingredients. RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operator should be trained or have knowledge on the basic chemical operations, like the weighing and mixing of ingredients.
  • Operate rubber processing machine; check weights, temperatures, flow rates, and pressures on all components.
  • Start-up procedure to run the banbury.
  • Understand the pressures and temperatures as well as amperage and flow of the material within.
  • Operate and safely run the rubber mills.
  • Correctly pack and label rubber products with correct lot numbers and Mooney viscosities.
  • Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, and transport load to designated area.
  • Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.

    RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR SAFETY TRAINING To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete and maintain the following Safety Training requirements. General Safety Orientation Forklift Safety Training Respiratory Protection Training Confined Space Entry Training Hazard Communications Training HAZWOPER Awareness Training Lock-Out/Tag-Out Training Personal Protective Equipment Training Hearing Protection Training Heat Stress Training Machine Guarding Training Fall Protection Training RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience preferred. RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on- one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. RUBBER BLENDING OPERATOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
