General Summary:

This is varied clerical work for the Law Offices of Sara Mollo, Public Defender, 6th Judicial Circuit in the West Pasco Judicial Center in New Port Richey, Florida. The role of Receptionist & File Opener will include offering administrative support across the organization. The Receptionist & File Opener prepares case files for clients and cross-references various data bases. Attention to detail is essential for this position.

Core Competencies and Responsibilities:

  • Be able to handle a busy front desk
  • Personable and works well with members of a close-knit team, clients, and other local agencies
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Greet and welcome clients
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Research clients to open new cases or when applicable open old cases
  • Pull paperwork for the new files
  • Designate what attorney should be assigned to a file
  • Sort the mail
  • Daily mail runs to mailroom and other agencies in courthouse

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Legal experience preferred but not necessary
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Dependable
