Community Tampa Bay ANYTOWN Summer Associate AFVN
The mission of the ANYTOWN program is to empower diverse groups
of young people to create more inclusive and just schools and
communities where all individuals are treated with respect and
understanding. The goal of the project is to graduate 120-150 high
school age youth from ANYTOWN who have knowledge about the impact,
causes, and consequences of stereotypes, prejudice, and
discrimination; who can assess their own identity as it relates to
their community: who can engage in the foundations of
transformative dialogue; who can experience meaningful,
prejudice-reducing cross-cultural interactions; who can advocate
for themselves and individuals experiencing systematic
discrimination; and who can lead with a vision of inclusion.
