Vice President of Sales – North America
C&D Technologies/Trojan Battery Company is looking for an
experienced and dynamic sales professional for the position of
“Director, National Sales”. This is a key position within our
company and is responsible for supporting established financial and
volume goals, specifically within the Stationary vertical of the
business. Key responsibilities include developing & directing a
sales team, driving results with existing business through the
development of new opportunities , participating in GTM strategies
and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout North America.
Product knowledge and exceptional sales skills are critical.
Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned including the
Influence, develop, and empower employees and peers to achieve
sales objectives with team approach.
Meet or exceed all sales goals assigned by C&D / Trojan,
achieve quarterly sales and profitability quota.
Collaboratively work with each market segment leader to optimize
sales development efforts, including penetration strategy for the
UPS / Datacenter, Telecom / Cable, and Energy & Infrastructure
Direct “hunting” resource allocation and budgets to achieve
Work closely with market segment leaders, within the matrix
Manage the Regional Sales Representative team to grow
C&D/Trojan market share within the assigned territory of each
stationary market segment.
Leverage regional customer and account lists for developing
plans to meet sales targets and quotas for each Regional Sales
Lead efforts to remove barriers that hinder successful sales
performance, help set appropriate inventory levels and drive
efficiencies to meet customer requirements.
Seek and develop new markets and new opportunities within the
UPS / Datacenter, Telecom, and Energy & Infrastructure market
segment for C&D/Trojan products and services.
Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and

customer contact and prospecting
Respond to customer inquiries regarding the products, conducting
demonstrations, and explaining product benefits
Provide customers with face to face meetings, training sessions,
follow-up communication, and quarterly business reviews.
Analyze sales statistics and prepare reports that support each
phase of the sales process
Ensures critical customer deadlines are met
Reports sales results to management
Handle administrative duties such as: filing expense accounts,
scheduling appointments, and making travel plans
Make sale calls and visits, facilitate providing meeting

employees, peers, and clients
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features and

10+ years of sale experience and at least 5 years of management
