Job Description Job Description Precision Machinist / Grinder Operator Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Precision Machinist/ Grinder who is familiar with machining environments. This role requires hands-on experience with grinding and lathe operations, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts while following established processes. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor precision grinding and machining equipment Run quality parts that meet all blueprint and specification requirements Follow documented processes, work instructions, and safety standards Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools Maintain consistent quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout production Identify and report issues related to quality, tooling, or equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Required Experience & Skills Experience with the following: Centerless Grinders Super-Tec Grinders Okuma Lathes Honing equipment Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints Solid understanding of precision measurements in a lathe and mill environment Proficiency using: Calipers Micrometers Drop gages Go / No-Go pins Surface testers and related inspection tools Proven ability to run quality parts and consistently follow processes Preferred Qualifications Background in high-precision machining environments Strong attention to detail and quality Self-motivated with a dependable work ethic Work Environment Manufacturing / machine shop setting Standing for extended periods; working with precision machinery and inspection equipment INDSW
