Description: Our Disney Experiences Technology (DXT) team creates
world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier
vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide,
Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney
Vacation Club. We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and
physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led
initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food &
Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of
business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience
website and mobile app for Disney World, Disney land and other
Disney brands. This role sits in the DXT organization for Disney
Experiences and works closely with other software development teams
and leaders from across the company. About The Role & Team: As a
Lead Software Engineer, you will guide a team of developers,
influence architectural direction, and collaborate closely with
partners across DXT and other Disney technology organizations to
deliver high?quality, scalable software solutions across multiple
Disney brands Be comfortable operating at scale in a cloud
environment and operating 24/7 web applications that service our
guests needs What You’ll Do: Own the analysis, design, program,
debugging, and modifications of software improvements and/or new
products Lead projects that may be used in commercial and end-user
applications or focus on software and tools supporting
infrastructure and technology platforms Work typically involves
large or highly sophisticated software programs and systems Mentor,
coach, and provide technical guidance to team members Possess an
in-depth knowledge of current programming language and
technologies, with strong skills in not just code but the hole
development environment May perform or lead testing and debugging
of applications, identifying innovative solutions Conceive, design,
develop, test, and implement software components, fixes,
improvements, and/or new systems and applications Interact with
users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
Help engage around the estimation and planning of highly
sophisticated scalable projects and their budget allocations You
will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies so
you can make informed recommendations Lead efforts using
server-side rendering web frameworks including Astro and Angular
SSR to ensure Disney Parks websites are performant, accessible, and
SEO/GEO/AI optimized Required Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of
related work experience, including work on large or sophisticated
systems Comfortable working in an agile environment, delivering
continuous value Managed team rituals: scrums, sprint planning,
capacity tracking, and demos, ensuring alignment on deliverables
and stakeholder readiness. Coordinated releases of owned software
and manage cross-team dependencies A motivated leader who inspires
teams, fosters creativity, consistently driving excellence Skilled
in managing software from concept and design through release and
long?term support Preferred Qualifications: An eye for design, many
projects involve collaboration with our design and business teams,
so the visual side of the work is very important An advocate for a
diverse and inclusive culture that encourages innovation and
ensures every team member feels a sense of belonging Leveraged
various monitoring tools for observability and performance
monitoring Advocate for automation testing a desire to further
develop technical expertise in software engineering tools,
methodologies, and emerging technologies Required Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Info Systems, Software, Electrical
or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or
equivalent work experience. Work experience in technology companies
delivering at scale The hiring range for this position in Seattle,
WA is $159,500 to $213,900 per year. The base pay actually offered
will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending
on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge,
skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or
long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the
compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical,
financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and
