Title: Brigaide Mobile Outreach Supervisor - Pinellas CountyDepartment: Outreach & Prevention ServicesReports To: Director of Brigaide Mobile Outreach Status: ExemptSalary: $40,000.0Job Functions:According to the mission and vision of Metropolitan Ministries, provide full wraparound Outreach Departmental Services in the community. Identify locations where individuals experiencing homelessness congregate. Establish and manage Outreach Hub sites while leading AmeriCorps, Interns and Volunteers to offer services and appropriate resources to clientele. Identify Chronic, Unsheltered Homeless Individuals, and Homeless Youth and refer them to appropriate resources. Additionally, provide onsite Special Assistance Services in conjunction with Outreach Policies and Procedures and reinforcing Outreach Engagement. Develop partnerships with supporting social service agencies to enhance client experience.Essential Responsibilities:The Brigaide Mobile Outreach Supervisor has primary responsibility for overall operation of the Mobile Outreach Hub sites and street outreach initiatives in Pinellas County. Schedule and lead AmeriCorps Members, manage inventory and communicate verbally and through reports to the Director of Brigaide Mobile Outreach. Mobile Outreach Supervisor will network and collaborate with other community agencies to improve access to services and to promote awareness of the program and the needs of homeless and homeless youth.Conduct mobile outreach and create client service engagement opportunities for individuals experiencing, homelessness at various mobile sites including but not limited to known Hot Spots, Meal Sites, and Community Events.Provide and offer wraparound services at mobile sites by actively collaborating with other homeless services providers and community resources to facilitate access to the Continuum of Care services including:Basic needs, including food, clothing, hygiene and shelter informationHousing assistance assessments and referralsSubstance abuse education and treatmentLegal assistanceHealth informationSOAR and MyAccess benefits and more.Actively pursues partnerships and creates opportunities that enhance services for clients. Refers, networks and advocates for clients within the Pinellas County area social service agencies. Participate in Pinellas County's Homeless Leadership Alliance CoC meetings. Coordinate and produce Outreach Community Events bringing in vendors, partners and agencies to create a festive and informative atmosphere for clients in need of services. Participate in offering Outreach Special Assistance Services in conjunction with Outreach Prevention Team and Outreach Service providers following identified policy and procedures.Ensures Real-Time Data Collection for mobile and onsite provided services.Interview, schedule and coordinate training for Brigaide Mobile Outreach AmeriCorps Members.Conducts monthly one-on-one supervision with Brigaide Mobile Outreach Staff.Participates and in some circumstances coordinates Metropolitan Ministries' events and holiday efforts including; Thanksgiving and Christmas Community Meals. Participates in Bridge Builders and other fundraising events when needed.Receives and responds to incoming telephone calls and client referrals from Pinellas County and the Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas County.Supports the team in other tasks as assigned and attend all team meetings. Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of the team and organizational targets/goals as measured by Key Performance indicators and stated in the annual organizational plan.

Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years' experience or an Associate's Degree with a combination of volunteer service and experience working with at risk populations and managing others and programs.Skill Requirements:Requires heart for ministry. Requires understanding of poverty, a high degree of maturity, strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work with low socio-economic and diverse populations facing crisis situations in a professional and diplomatic manner. Requires strong managerial skills. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and staff. Ability to deescalate clients on the edge of verbal or physical violence. Ability to work as part of a team within a multi-disciplinary framework. Demonstrates computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office and appropriate databases. Requires oral and written communication skills and the ability to write reports and conduct and participate in meetings. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) Preferred. Physical Requirements:Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. During non-holiday period, must be available to work the normal and extended business hours; ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds; hearing and speaking ability which allows for effective oral communication of information; physical, emotional and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress. Must be able to operate a multi-passenger van for transporting self and staff.Other:Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Valid FL drivers license with a good driving record and insured vehicle in order to transport self and clients when necessary. PM21PI187351604
