The video link below provides a glimpse into our world! This position exists to support and train on Cisco and Tech Data tools and best practices. A large portion of the applicant's time will be spent in a classroom setting training Tech Data Team Members on both Tech Data and Cisco tools and processes. In general, this individual will be responsible for creating and executing a training plan (including curriculum) and initiatives that will achieve Cisco proficiency in every TD colleague who touches a Cisco quote and/or order. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required * Employee instruction: Provides classroom, one-on-one, and on the job training and instruction to new and existing employees on technical and non-technical subjects. Makes any necessary changes/additions to software applications training as necessary * Program Development/Implementation: Develops and/or sources specialized training programs as needed. Performs ongoing review and updating of existing designated training programs and materials. * Program Evaluation: Evaluates the effectiveness of programs delivered through various established measurement methods such as surveys, training skills attainment and management development. * Serves as "Performance Consultant": Effectively assists clients with needs assessments, skills gap identification and makes appropriate developmental activity suggestions based on information gathered. * Performs additional duties as assigned * Meets attendance and punctuality standards Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions * The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others. * Able to assimilate research data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend appropriate courses of action to take. * Able to coach others in the development of their skills. * Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. * Able to create and conduct formal presentations. * Able to display a preference for interacting with people, being friendly, outgoing, articulate and socially at ease. * Able to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed. * Able to avoid win/loss situations and ensure productive resolutions of conflict. * Able to display assertiveness and a high level of self-confidence. * Able to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information. * Able to facilitate group interactions. * Able to identify needs and opportunities and develop action plans to address. * Able to interact effectively with all levels of management. * Able to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. * Able to supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of subordinates. * Able to think strategically and tactically.
