Overview:Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist performs various administrative support duties ranging from HRIS management, employee on-boarding, coordinating employee benefits, employee relations, and assisting with the general operational functioning of the Human Resources Department and conducts HR-related and organizational initiatives.

Job Type
Full-time with hybrid schedule: The HR Generalist will have the opportunity to work remote 1 day a week (Monday or Friday) following completion of in-office training.

  • Hybrid Scedule (Work remote 1 days out of the week and in office 4 days)Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates all employee onboarding, to include processing of pre-employment screens and execution of required documentation and E-Verify
    • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards company goals
    • Sets up newly hired employees in Human Resources Information and Payroll Systems and instructs in proper usage
    • Process benefit enrollments and terminations promptly and accurately
    • Resolves employee issues with insurance providers and other benefit administrators
    • Assist with benefit reconciliations and deduction audits
    • Administrates COBRA and disability claims
    • Upkeeps employee information and documentation in HRIS and act as point of contact for troubleshooting HRIS and ATS issues
    • Respond to specific policy-related and procedural concerns and inquiries from employees and information and reporting requests from supervisors, managers, etc.
    • Maintains numerous employee databases (various employee lists, required documents received, organizational charts, access device spreadsheets)
    • Coordinates, reviews, and tracks introductory and annual performance appraisals
    • Initiates FMLA procedures
    • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews
    • Responsible for initial response to unemployment claims; partner with Director of Human Resources on appeals process
    • Supports all Human Resources and Payroll staff as needed
    • Provide employee lists and various reporting to internal departments regularly and as needed
    • Assists Director of Human Resources and Payroll Supervisor with projects as needed, often with high priorityOther Responsibilities:

      • Maintains strict confidentiality of client, company and personnel information
      • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization

          • Two (2) years of previous experience in Human Resources Administration is preferred.
          • One (1) year of experience working with UKG Ready, formerly Kronos Workforce Ready is preferred.
          • One (1) year of experience working with PrismHR is preferred.
          • One (1) year of experience working with iCIMs ATS is preferred.
          • One (1) year of experience with Employee Relations is preferredEducation and/or Experience:
            • An associate degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management or a related degree is preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
              • PHR certification preferredComputer Skills:
                • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
                  Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
