Encompass Health, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a motivated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work both in facility-based and home-based settings, providing crucial support in patient care and rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans, work directly under the supervision of occupational therapists, and guide patients through various exercises and activities designed to help them regain or improve their daily living and working skills. Assist with the implementation of therapy plans created by the occupational therapist. Help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Document patient progress and report to the supervising occupational therapist. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Educate patients and family members about follow-up care and exercises. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving patients. Knowledge of therapy equipment and proper usage. Proficient in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license as required by state law.
