Job Description AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology – Winter Park \n Nurse Practitioner, ARNP or Physician Assistant, PA-C \n Weekends Opportunity \n General Summary: \n The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for: \n \n Performs physical examinations as needed and monitors cardiology & interventional cardiology patients in the hospital setting in Winter Park: pre-& post-procedure care and follow up \n Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc. \n Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed \n Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff \n Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth \n Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen \n \n Knowledge and Skills Required: \n \n Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, parents and hospital medical staff \n Enthusiastic team player \n Willingness to learn \n Flexible, adaptable to change \n Strong communication skills \n \n Schedule Details: \n \n Inpatient Part Time Schedule- Saturday and Sunday 7AM-5PM \n Would be able to provide additional hours Monday-Friday in an outpatient setting to achieve Full Time status \n Campus: AH Winter Park \n \n Required Education/Experience: \n \n Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies \n 2-3 years experience in cardiology \n \n Licensure, Certification, and Registration: \n \n Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license or ability to obtain \n ANCC, AANP or NCCPA certification required. \n Current BLS and ACLS \n
