Overview:Medical Assistant Job Details KG Health Partners is a leading provider of podiatry services for the long-term care industry in Florida. We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our team! The Medical Assistant will travel to facilities in the Tampa Bay Area and help patients feel at ease with the podiatrist.The duties of this position are primarily administrative, which means there may be flexibility to work from home when you complete your work in the facilities! (Travel is reimbursed!) 30% of work is remote and may be completed on a work from home basis.Responsibilities:- Assists the physician during exams- Prepares patients for examination- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history- Confirms purpose of visit or treatment- Completes records by recording patient examination and treatment- Generates revenues by recording billing information of services rendered- Provides superior customer service to our doctors, facilities, and their resident/family members- Be part of a team that is committed to providing quality, quantity and reliability each and every dayOther Responsibilities:- Adheres to the policies and procedures of the company- Maintains strict confidentiality of client, company and personnel information- Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization- Adheres to company attendance standards- Performs other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneQualifications:- Strong organizational skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Detail oriented- Ability to multi-task and work in a diverse environmentEducation and/or Experience:Minimum one (1) year healthcare experience requiredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:- Medical Assistant Certification preferred- Nursing and/or Podiatry Assistant Certification requiredComputer Skills:Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookEnvironmental Factors/Physical Demands:Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone.May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.HP123
