Job Description:

The Program Therapist will be responsible for meeting the clinical needs of each client by providing individual counseling to each resident, where clinically appropriate, using evidenced based practices in accordance with funder requirements. In addition, the program therapist will conduct psychosocial rehabilitation counseling groups as scheduled, coordinating with Program Director/Program Manager. The program therapist should be familiar with the Stages of Change model and motivational interviewing. The program therapist will complete a biopsychosocial assessment, initial treatment plan, updated treatment plan, progress notes and group notes on each client. The program therapist will adhere to the agency's policy and procedures on meeting time frames and will follow Medicaid guidelines and standards. The program therapist will be a contributing member of the multidisciplinary team including scheduling staffing meetings on each client. The program therapist will be responsible for all clinical components of a resident's treatment at the facility. The program therapist will act as a role model for recovery with all staff, teaching and training when necessary using strength based approach. The program therapist will use a team approach with all staff, assisting when needed to ensure Wellness and Accountability Checks are completed as well as doing fifteen minute checks and other facility related tasks.

$43,000 - $44,720 annual salary

Must possess a minimum M.A. in Psychology, Gerontology, Counseling, Social Work or related field or have a comparative licensure (Nursing Home Administrator, Etc.).
Must be current Registered Intern or eligible to become Registered Intern.
Must be computer literate.
Must possess or be willing to pursue an LMHC, LMFT or LCSW license.
