We are the fastest growing cigar company in the country and a leading online and direct marketer of fine cigars, premium pipe tobaccos, luxury gifts, and accessories.General Summary:To oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a niche & luxurious retail establishment, including but not limited to employee development, processes and procedures of a cigar retail store, full-service bar, and light kitchen. Responsible for ensuring store functions are completed, including budgeting, forecasting, store events, ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandise, staffing, training, cash handling, shrink control, and enhancing customer experience. The General Manager will also have supervisory duties.Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality Services, or equivalent (work experience considered in lieu of degree)
• 8+ years of retail, hospitality, and management experience with operating, capital, and cash budgeting
• Previous retail experience in a specialized boutique or niche is preferred but not required
• Leadership experience managing managers and staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and corrective actions
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and computer literacy
• Ability to handle multiple demands and make tough decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsResponsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Establish organizational goals, performance objectives, guidelines, and best practices
  • Oversee all store operations aligned with organizational goals and standards
  • Supervise department managers and staff in planning and performance
  • Promote supportive leadership, team building, and empowerment
  • Maintain and improve customer experience standardsFinancial Accountability:
    • Participate in and oversee the preparation of annual budgets
    • Manage labor and controllable expenditures within budget
    • Utilize financial reports and tools to support operations
    • Maintain inventory, product mix, and merchandising standards
    • Review alcohol and food ordering and pricing to maximize sales
    • Adjust marketing strategies based on financial and sales data
    • Ensure cashier accountability, key control, and cash handling security
    • Collaborate with accounting on payroll trends, inventory variances, and store objectivesOperations Responsibilities:
      • Monitor store conditions to meet customer service and budget goals
      • Manage bar operations, service levels, and trends
      • Coordinate with merchandising on store design and displays
      • Market merchandise through advertising, promotions, and display plans
      • Oversee contracts and relationships for mechanical, cleaning, supplies, and food & beverage
      • Maintain inventory, product mix, and merchandising standards
      • Assist in planning and executing retail and bar eventsCustomer Service Responsibilities:
        • Design and maintain a customer-friendly, well merchandised store
        • Assess customer service needs and develop training for staff to ensure excellent serviceSafety Responsibilities:
          • Implement and monitor compliance with health and safety laws
          • Ensure a safe environment for staff and customersStore Promotion Responsibilities:
            • Coordinate store information with website design
            • Plan and manage store promotions
