THE POSITION

As a Senior Customer Business Director (CBD) here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing and leading new business opportunities with a defense original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for military aircraft. You will play a critical role in driving the strategic growth of the business by developing and executing comprehensive customer business plans.

You will report directly to the Vice President of the Defense OEM (DOEM) Customer Business Team (CBT). This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing our customer business team operations. Your leadership and expertise in leading defense programs and managing new business opportunities will enable you to build strong relationships with customers and provide innovative solutions to meet their evolving needs. By guiding and mentoring your team, you will foster a culture of growth and operational excellence, positioning the company as a market leader in customer business management.

The ideal candidate will excel at creating clarity, taking initiative to lead when necessary, and effectively prioritizing and communicating business team needs across departments. The ideal candidate will enable and facilitate business growth by removing barriers to success and ensuring seamless operations. They will be a proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in execution and business growth. This role requires a high level of business acumen with the flexibility to adapt to both internal and external leadership dynamics. Building strong internal and external relationships will be vital to the success in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the customer business strategy to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Guide and manage a team of customer business professionals
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Analyze customer feedback and data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement customer business metrics and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with customer business standards and best practices
  • Accountable for and able to guide complex global project teams
  • Develop and continuously improve key processes
  • Guide development of medium to long-term planning: Annual Operating Plan (AOP) or Strategic Planning (STRAP)

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a US Citizen: a person who was born anywhere in the United States or its territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands, or who obtained U.S. citizenship through naturalization.

    YOU MUST HAVE


    • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in customer business/program management roles
    • 10+ years of experience working with or for defense OEMs
    • 10+ years of experience leading military aircraft defense programs
    • Must be US Citizen with an active security clearance, top secret preferred
    • Bachelor's degree
