Job Description JOB SUMMARY Local Product Manager (LPM) is responsible for the development and commercialization of containerized moving and storage products and services across the residential line of business. The LPM will work cross functionally with the sales, media, brand, web, and operations teams to coordinate and drive awareness, conversion, revenue growth, product development, and service enhancements for the local moving & storage segment. Additionally, the LPM will drive growth in PODS' ancillary products (boxes, locks, labor referral, etc) supplemental to the core moving & storage container offering. The ideal candidate will have a combination of marketing and product skills with service industry experience. This position is located at our headquarters in Clearwater, Florida and reports to the VP of product marketing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage new product and service development projects from ideation through commercialization. Develop, test, and launch moving and storage products and services Own vendor relations for 3rd party referrals such as labor; evaluate and source new relationships where applicable Own and grow existing portfolio of segments, products, and policies. Discover opportunities within existing product/service lines Manage core segment service journeys from demand generation through operational and communication experiences. Identify revenue and service gaps; evaluate and execute opportunities to close Continuously research the moving and storage innovation landscape and new ancillary product opportunities Develop new and maintain existing revenue and referral reporting for ancillary line of business Build detailed financial models to support new product development and scaling opportunities Train sales and service center associates & driver teams on products, services, and initiatives Possess strong analytical skills; perform frequent ad-hoc analysis to measure performance and gauge results Benchmark competitors. Incorporate customer, franchisee and employee feedback and ideas, market trends, and competitive analysis to define market opportunities Develop, execute, and analyze consumer surveys aimed at understanding and improving local moving & storage experiences Evaluate revenue, customer experience, and savings impact of policy changes and new policy implementations Ensure legal compliance for customer-facing and employee training for owned products and services. Able to operate general office equipment including company telephone system JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or engineering required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred; At least 4 years prior marketing and product development or product management experience required; Service product experience a plus. Ability to use statistical tools and analyze/interpret data; understand data and turn it into a compelling story Experience in survey tools such as Medallia or Survey Monkey Ability to research and analyze micro & macro trends through publications such as US Census and IBIS (or similar) data sources Business planning skills including demand modeling, unit and fixed revenue and cost estimating, and price sensitivity analysis. Strong proficiency with MS Office products required. Must possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties; semi-advanced excel (pvt tables, vlookups) required
