Job Description Job Description Solder Assembler – Circuit Card Rework & Assembly (2nd Shift) Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM Overtime: Available on weekends This role involves performing advanced rework and assembly on complex circuit card assemblies (CCAs), including both electronic and mechanical components. IPC experience is Required Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced soldering and rework on circuit card assemblies, including: BGA (Ball Grid Array) reballing and replacement QFN (Quad Flat No-Lead) and leadless component rework High-density connector and fine-pitch component replacement Through-hole and SMT (Surface Mount Technology) rework Use soldering techniques such as hand soldering and reflow soldering Conduct detailed inspections using microscopes and other visual tools Identify and troubleshoot soldering defects and process deviations Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement rework procedures Perform precision mechanical assembly tasks, including: Installing hardware such as stand-offs and spacers Bonding components using adhesives or epoxies Aligning and assembling mechanical subassemblies Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment Qualifications: 5 years of hands-on experience in soldering, rework, and electronic/mechanical assembly Expertise in advanced soldering equipment and techniques, including: Soldering irons, reflow ovens, and soldering stations Visual inspection and diagnostic tools (microscopes, X-ray, AOI/AXI systems) Solid understanding of electronics assembly and rework principles IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721 or J-STD-001) highly preferred Strong computer skills and the ability to use digital work instructions or ERP systems Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and assembly instructions Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Additional Requirements: Must successfully pass a medical exam as part of the onboarding process Will need to pass a background check and technical evaluation.
