This company, based in the Clearwater, Florida area, offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded. If you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close, you will be preferred for this position. Candidates who can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes will be preferred for this role. You will be preferred for this role if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.What you get to do every single day- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation- Participate in various department-wide initiatives- Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules- Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation- Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision- Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reportingThis is a permanent position.
